Instrument & Control Technicians

Overview 

Technology Resource Center (TRC) provides customers with Instrument and Control Technicians (I&C Techs) proficient in the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, calibrating, repair and installation of instruments, transmitters, recorders, indicators, controllers, meters, impulse lines, cable, computers, DCS System, CEMS systems and any device associated with instrumentation and/or control.   Our clients include utilities in the water and electric power generation markets.

Our Instrument & Control Technicians 

TRC I&C Techs Troubleshoot electrical and/or instrumentation systems, subsystems and devices.  Our employees utilize generally accepted methods, instruction manuals and experience to determine the root cause of malfunctions and report the cause of the malfunction to the appropriate Client Supervisor.  Additionally, our technicians routinely perform corrective maintenance as directed and/or required for Industrial Automation Clients, Power Generation (including Steam, Hydro and Nuclear stations) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) project requirements.

Benefits

TRC’s I&C Services include the isolation of equipment, in-service protocol, adjustments, and performing operational tests with instruction from Station Operators or other Supervisors.  Our clients expect our performance in the above standard Installation, overhaul and maintenance of all sizes and types of power circuit breakers, switches, motors, transformers and electrical power equipment.  Working in collaboration with our Technology Innovation Department, TRC I&C Technicians test and locate faults on control, power and lighting circuits; potential and current transformers and switchboard wiring; motors and starters; and similar devices on AC and DC circuits utilizing cutting edge technologies, saving our customers bottom line.
