Substation Testing and Commissioning

Overview

Technology Resource Center employs experienced substation testing personnel, utilizing combined testing experience of more than 140 years.  Substation Testing services range from Relay Replacement testing to Substation Automation Service (SAS) upgrade testing and substation commissioning.   Testing traditional utility infrastructures ensures our Test Technicians have experience in Relay replacement, circuit breaker replacement, digital fault recorder replacement and Substation Protection and Control procedure.

Our Test Technicians

TRC Test Technicians’ procedures adhere to all NERC CIP compliance standards, our employees adapt to modernizations including control room upgrades with enhanced automation and relay scheme installations.   Further, our testing services work with client as-built drawings to ensure functional equipment while providing standardized documentation of the completed project.

Benefits

Prior to commissioning, TRC’s responsibility is to ensure all System Protection & Controls, Distribution Apparatus & Disturbance Monitoring devices are installed, tested and maintained consistently and accurately.

TRC Test Technicians ensure a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Substation safety protocols and safe work practices; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
