Quality Specialist 3
Position Summary
Southern California Edison Management shall provide this position’s assignments to TRC. This position will assist in the development and implementation of new standards, procedures, manuals, and help coordinate QA/QC functions. This position will act as a lead and manage multiple Quality Specialists assigned to various substation construction projects. This position’s assignments may include representing Edison’s Substation Construction & Maintenance organization in both internal and external reviews of Quality Management processes and procedures.
Preferred Experience
This position has the same requirements/experience as a Quality Specialist 2, plus recognized experience in a specific area of Quality Management and/or overall strong knowledge of quality management services.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience in overall Quality Management with direct responsibility for inspection of the discipline or disciplines required.
Must have direct experience (1) at the foreman level or above in the trades to be inspected or have the equivalent combination of experience and education in a directly related field; (2) in engineering; or (3) extensive expertise in a specialty field directly related to the Quality Management required.
Strong skillsets in Microsoft Office products and phones
Candidates for this position must possess a thorough knowledge of inspection theory, technologies and methods associated with substation construction.
Candidates for this position must be able to establish, interpret and evaluate Quality Management standards and procedures
Roles and Responsibilities
Inspect multiple construction projects of all disciplines
Self-starter able to adjust schedule to support construction project needs.
Able to manage multiple projects
Communicate with engineering to help resolve construction issues
Develop and maintain Book 1’s
Write Construction Issue Reports for all issues that are found in the field.
Attend Pre-engineering meetings and provide feedback to the responsible engineer
Able to follow multiple manufacture installation instructions.
